I just wanted to say how much I will miss my Aunt Dorrie. There will always be a hole in our family that will never be filled. She has been in my life from the start.Over the past week I've sat and thought about all the times when I was a little girl running and playing with my cousins. All the trips that Aunt Dorrie and my mom has taken us on ,and the countless days spent on the beach flood my mind.I'm so thankful she was here long enough for me to grow up and know her, not as just my Aunt ,but as a woman knows another woman. She had gotten to know my little family and was always so kind and loving to my husband and childern ,and they loved her as well. She was a lady with passion and a BIG heart.I wish my time with her could have been more , but I will forever hold on to the memories I have. I know I'll see her again .So for now I'll take comfort in knowing she's with the other loved one's we've already laid too rest !!! I love and miss you my sweet Aunt Dorrie, always ,your loving niece, Amanda Adams Smith

Heaven's gates
Flew open wide,
God's angels came forth
From deep inside,
They picked up our Dorrie
And carried her home,
To be with the Father
And his beautiful Son,
She watches now
From Heaven's view,
All her flesh
Is perfect and new,
Dorrie Adams
was an angel, you see,
She'd give her last dime
If it you did need,
Her smile it glowed
Her arms outstretched,
Her embrace was welcoming
No stranger she met,
John, she loved you
For many, many years,
She sees your grief
She sees your tears,
She loved her children
And grandchildren, too,
She met their needs
And the wishes she knew,
She's now in Heaven
With the angels she sings,
She'll see you again
When you get your wings.

Granny, I'm going to miss you! You mean so much to me if I ever wanted or needed anything you gave it to me! Even if it was the shirt off your back or the earrings from your ears, you made sure your grandbabies had everything they wanted! I love you and I can't wait until I can see you again!

John I know you will miss her. Dorrie was much more than a sister-in-law; she was a sister that I didn't have. A sister that I could talk to when I was down or sitting on the world. She was my friend 24/7, aunt to my children and grandchildren. Only she and I could share what it was to be married to brothers that are very close to each other. Now, she has left us. As she walks down that street of gold to her new home, her journey if finished.

Rev. 21:21
And the street of the city was pure gold.
