

Mrs. Ellis was a native of Camden County and had been a resident of Brunswick for the past 80 years. She worked with her husband Wallace D. Ellis, Sr. at Ellis Auto Parts before retirement in 1996. She was a Charter Member of the Fellowship Methodist Church in Brunswick and was a former member of the Exchagette of the Brunswick Exchange Club.
Mrs. Ellis was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, Alfred and Lettie Head, a grandson, Michael Cook, sister, Ethel Head and two brothers, Woodrow Head and Joe Head.
Survivors are her daughter, Lettie Ann Cook (Bill) of Browntown, Ga., and her son, Bud Ellis (Verdie Ann) of Brunswick, grandchildren, Mark Cook, Jason Woodrow Ellis, Hilda Cook Gay, great grandchildren, Lucy Cook Duncan, April Cook Crews, Georgia Ann Cook, 6 great great grandchildren, Josey McNicol, Savannah McNicol, James Michael Duncan, Shane William Duncan, Ed Crews, Jr., and Amy Crews and several nieces and nephews and her pet companions, Dog, Little Moose, Bear, Fred and Hedge
A celebration of Life will be held at 11 AM Saturday 9/15/12 at the Graveside in Palmetto Cemetery with Rev. Earl Parrish officiating.
Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. A. Wade Strickland and Staff.
The family request those wishing may make contributions to the Hospice of the Golden Isles, 1692 Glynco Parkway, Brunswick, Ga., 31525.
The family will receive friends in the Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home from 6 to 8 PM Friday 9/14/12.
