I enjoyed the service today.  Betty and I were colleagues at BHS.  I was a science teacher.  In 1991 I was asked to assume role of graduation coordinator and director which meant I would be working closely with with Betty since she was in charge of senior in the guidance office.  My daughter was a dancer in production company.  We got to know each other really well.  I was a go-fer for production company.  If I went to gym when they were practicing she would ask me to find 20 pairs of matching socks or 20 identical head scarves or headbands or white gloves.  And I did.  School got me a computer so I could more easily get senior names for diplomas and change row lists, etc.  At practice she enjoyed getting kids in lines to match in.  We got diplomas ready for seniors with all the correct stickers on them.  Row lists changed as students did not meet graduation requirements and I depended on Betty to motivate the online students to complete their work for credit.  We spent a lot of time together for BHS.  She made photos and presented me an album of my retirement party .  She and my husband were at Addington Place at the same time.  He there only 13 days before he passed away.  I picked her up and brought her to a birthday party for our former librarian.  She needed the wheelchair then but could stand and manage getting into and out of the CRV.  She would tell her feet where to go and told me to wait until they did.  I knew then her battle would take its toll on her life style.  Am going to remember us as we were when together at BHS.  Happy, healthy, ornery, respectful and apt to use colorful language.  Will miss that Betty.

Miss Randolph was the best kind of counselor. She was like a cheerleader for those of us who needed a little push. She encouraged me to apply for things at BHS that I wouldn’t have known about and I have always remembered her for that support. I remember writing essays and she would check them and help me make corrections to polish them before submitting.  I can still see that old office at BHS and picture her standing there smiling and hear her laugh. What a wonderful soul. I have always remembered her being so kind and encouraging.

Betty was a unique individual and a true friend.  And as many have said her laugh could be heard when she was around.  Rest In Peace Betty.

Once you heard her laugh you never forgot it! What a great lady! She will be missed.

I met Ms Betty when I was a student at BHS Highschool and  she was one of my Guidance Counselors there and she also was there for one of my Graduation practices when I Graduated Highschool in 2002 and then she sang in the choir with me and many others and she had a wonderful soprano voice at College Place Methodist Church and when she started to laugh it was contagious and entertaining at best and she was my dear friend and I will miss her laugh the most and her wonderful smile and she will truly be missed and prayers to the family

Well sad to hear she’s gone. I think in the humor dept she was more Pentacostal and the best laugher I’ve ever met. I mentioned a long time ago that she’d be fun to take to a funeral. And she retorted that she puts the fun back in funerals. That would be exactly correct. I hope her service is loaded with laughter and even joy. As. She lived she really lived.

Such a great loss! Betty was one of the kindest, funniest, most outgoing person I've ever known. She was always laughing and could light up a room with her laughter! I remember when I broke my leg about 10 years ago, Betty took me to one of my,doctor's appointments. We had a grand time!
She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. My deepest sympathy and condolences.

Betty,Bunny Rabbitt,was truly a treasure.We met in choir at College Place and never looked back. We had so many of the same intrests,especially theater,shopping,and dining. We both loved to decorate our homes especially her at Easter and myself at Christmas..I told people she had at least 500 bunnies and one of our friends told her keep them in a pen and separated and she would not have as many...that infectious laugh that came from the bowels of her insides soon erupted and we both just howled..We had many adventures and sometimes got into a "wee" bit of mischief. I thank God for our times together and know that we will see each other again..Fly with the Angels ..

She started as “Miss Randolph” to me as a student at BHS and then became “Betty”, my friend and colleague when I started teaching there. Her laugh was THE BEST! She will be missed! My condolences to her family. ❤️

Ms. Randolph was a wonderful asset to the BHS faculty . Betty was an awesome cheerleading sponsor and loved us all equally …. she was always happy and positive and encouraged all her students and cheerleaders to strive to do their best . Many prayers for her family and friends .

Betty had a laugh that made you feel instantly better. So full of energy and love, she couldn’t be contained in a small space. She touched so many student’s lives when she was a guidance counselor. She was a joy to know and she will be missed by so many people.

Dear Family and Friends of Betty:

We are sending prayers and condolences.  What a treat it was to know Betty.  She used to attend our family gatherings with Edith Smoak and Camille Penders, and there was never a dull moment.  Her laughter was contagious.  We also traveled many times to Hilton Head for Family Circle Tennis in the spring - the only time I would actually skip school.  I ask for blessings for you all at this tough time.  I have reached out to a dozen BHS faculty members to share this sad news.
