A native of Jacksonville, Florida born October 18, 1943 to the late James Farqua Higgs and the late Gladys Edenfield. Elaine was a resident of Glynn County for over twenty years. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist Faith.
Elaine enjoyed gardening, quilting and her pets. She leaves many fond memories that will be cherished by all.
In addition to Elaine’s parents, she is preceded in death by her first husband, Charles Thomas, Sr. Her sons, Charles Thomas, Jr. John Curtis, Great granddaughter, Candice Nichole Hutto, Son-in-law, Robert Dale Anderson.
Survivors include her loving husband Marvin (Skip) Eggleston of Brunswick, GA; Children; Tina Anderson, Jimmy Thomas (Pam), Jason Thomas (Michelle) William Eggleston. Grandchildren; Christina Boysen, Jennifer Tuya, Brandy Stokes, Jessica Landrum, Stephanie Westcott, JD Thomas, Daniel Thomas (Kymberly), Haley Craven, Bella Westcott, Dylan Thomas, Dalton Thomas, Taylor Thomas, Jaydah Westcott, Charles Thomas III, Michael Eggleston. Elaine was, also, blessed to have many loving great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Visitation is to be held 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 1, 2022 at Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home, 3321 Glynn Ave. Brunswick, Georgia.
Funeral service is to be held 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 2, 2022, Graveside at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery. with Reverend Keith Powell officiating. Serving pallbearers will be William Eggleston, Michael Eggleston, Jason Thomas, Dalton Thomas, Jimmy Thomas and Robert Anderson.
