He was born on the 11th of January 1994 in Alta Loma, California to David John Kessner and Janice Marie Kessner. Eli graduated from Blacksburg High School in 2012 and continued his football career at Old Dominion University. Eli graduated from Old Dominion University with a Bachelors in Civil Engineering, and began his career at Crowder Industrial Construction as a project engineer.
Eli married Hannah Elizabeth Owens in November of 2020, and they welcomed their first born son, Brett Owen Kessner, in May of 2021. Eli is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Russell Lee Kessner; his maternal uncle, Michel Jon Wisner; and his maternal grandfather, John Nelson Wisner.
Eli is survived by his loving wife and son, Hannah and Brett Kessner; his parents, David and Janice Kessner; his siblings, Nicole Taylor and husband, James, Chelsea Kessner, Matthew Kessner, and Aubrey Kessner; his niece, Callie Taylor; and his pets who he adored, Emmy, Jaxson, Yeti, and Postie.
Eli’s family will be having a Celebration of Life on October 16th, 2021, in Virginia Beach, Virginia. The family will release further information soon.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Gofund me set up for his son, Brett’s, college fund.
