Beth received a Master of Science in Nursing from Duke University in 1977. In 1979, Beth and Randy returned to Glynn County, and, for the next 15 years, Beth worked as a psychiatric nurse at Southeast Georgia Health System. During that time, she became a certified psychiatric clinical nurse specialist and helped open the Psychiatric Unit at the hospital.
Beth was the proud mother of three sons: Christopher Randall Jordan (1978); Benjamin Inman Jordan (1981); and Thomas Grant Jordan (1984). Throughout her life, Beth was a role model to her children and an ardent supporter of their pursuits in academics, athletics and music.
