Emily A. Rowland Griffin

Mrs. Griffin was a native of Hawaii and was a former resident of Waycross, Ga., and then a resident of Horseshoe Cove in Waverly, Ga. She was member of the Blythe Island Baptist Church and a former member of the Hebardville Baptist Church in Waycross. She was employed with the Wacona Elementary School in the Cafeteria and also an aerobics instructor at the YWCA in Waycross.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Robert Griffin, two Sons, Robert K. Griffin and Scott Griffin, her parents, Llew Llyn and Merry Christmas Allen Rowland and a sister Eva Punsalan.

Survivors are a daughter, Debbie Winn of Waycross, two sons, Terry Griffin of Newberry, Fl., and Eric Griffin (Ginger) of Kingsland, Ga ., 6 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephew.

Funeral Services will be held at 2 PM Sunday 5/6/12 in the Blythe Island Baptist Church with Rev. Tim Brown officiating,. Interment will follow at 4 PM Sunday in the Greenlawn Cemetery in Waycross, Ga.

The family will receive friends in the Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home from 5 to 7 PM Saturday 5/5/12. The family request in lieu flowers, contributions to the Hospice of the Golden Isles, 1692 Glynco Parkway, Brunswick, Ga., 31525.
