Ernest Lamar Craft, 95, of Brunswick, Ga, departed his life Tuesday, December 8, 2020 at Hospice of The Golden Isles. Graveside funeral services will be conducted 10 A.M.Tuesday, the 15th of December 2020, in Oak Grove Cemetery, 1500 Mansfield St., Brunswick, GA with Dr. Wright Culpepper officiating. Military honors will be presented by the United States Army.
Born May 18, 1925 in Blakely, GA to the late Benjamin Columbus and Arizona H. Craft, he was a Veteran of the U. S. Army and a member of First United Methodist Church of Brunswick. Mr. Craft was a educator and spent most of his professional life in the field of Vocational Rehabilitation. Locally he was active in historical preservation and the Republican political party. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Joy Woodland Craft; and his brothers, J.B.Craft, Lester Craft, and Donald Craft.
Survivors include his sister Pearl Craft and his brother Milton Craft. Also surviving are his children, Michael B. Craft and Sandra C. Colhard both of Brunswick, two grandsons, James T. Colhard and John A. Colhard and four great grandchildren, Graham Marshall Colhard, Ainsley Estella Colhard, Jackson Alexander Colhard, and Ashlyn Joy Colhard all of Jacksonville, FL .
