Faith Brown Joyce

Born November 15, 1939, in Bridgeport, CT, to the late Louis Arthur and Helen Julia L. Brown, she was retired from the administration department of The University of North Carolina at Wilmington. Before her work at UNCW, Faith was employed at Porter-Gaud School in Charleston. Ms. Joyce was a former resident of Lakewood, OH, before moving to Jesup, GA, in 2009. She was a member of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church in Brunswick, GA. She was a voracious reader, enjoyed crochet and knitting, gardening, Red Hat Ladies, tea parties, participating in book clubs, bible study groups, and tending to her feline companions Brian and Shadow.

Survivors include two children, Julia Joyce Domenick of Alexandria, VA, Mark Stephen Joyce and wife Sharon of North Myrtle Beach, SC, three grandchildren, Taylor Domenick, Collin Joyce, and Hannah Joyce, three sisters, Virginia McGlaughlin of Gainesville, FL, June Baldyga of Danbury, CT, and Margaret Patrum of Charleston, SC, and one nephew. She is preceded in death by her daughter Ayn-Martha Joyce.
