

Floyd Neil Pickren Sr., 88, of Brunswick departed this life Tuesday, June 4, 2024 at his residence. Funeral services will be conducted 2 pm Friday, June 7, 2024 in the chapel of Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home with Dr. Art Cyphers officiating. Interment will follow in Palmetto Cemetery with Jason Pickren, Travis Pickren, David Pickren, Christopher Pickren, Brennan Pickren, Lane Pickren, Nicolas Martinez Perez serving as pallbearers. Honorary Pallbearers will be Jackie McKenzie, Leon Moody, Hugh Carter, and Paul Redding.
Born August 22, 1935 in Brunswick, Georgia to the late Charles Felton and Anita S. Pickren, he was a graduate of Glynn Academy and US Army Veteran. Mr. Pickren was a lifelong resident of Glynn County and worked as a crane operator for Hercules. He also ministered at several area churches as well. He was a member of Norwich Street Baptist Church. Mr. Pickren was an avid UGA Bulldog fan, and also enjoyed hunting, fishing and golf. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles and Don Pickren, and a sister, Gwyneth Hulett.
Survivors include his wife of 68 years, Gerry Pickren of Brunswick, four children, Floyd Pickren, Jr and wife Belinda of Folkston, Sherry Coleman and husband Bob of St. Simons Island, Monty Pickren and wife Eve of Kingsland, and Steve Pickren and Nancy Charles of Callahan, FL, nine grandchildren, several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
