

He was preceded in death by his father George Fildes Tresher, SR, mother Irene Johnson Tresher and sister Edith Withington Wrangofski. He left behind a sister Mary Ann McCarty Ford and many nieces, nephews.
Mr. Tresher also leaves behind his 5 children, 9 grandchildren, 7 great- grandchildren and friends who dearly loved him. He enjoyed friends, family, life, and church.
A native of Jacksonville, Florida, George had been a resident of St. Simons Island since 1968. He married his wife Daphne on April 25, 1964. Together, the couple raised five children Johnny, Billy, Daphne, Kelly and Leigh. He was a veteran of the United States Army. George graduated Landon High and upon graduation, he enrolled at the University of Florida, where he received his degree in Industrial Engineering. He worked in Jacksonville, Florida as a realtor for several years. George later began working at Kut-Kwick with his father until the business sold. After the family business was sold, he continued working in real estate. . He also worked for Sea Island Security for 10 years from which he retired. George was a member of Christian Renewal since 1973.
George followed suit with Daphne donating his body to the Medical College of Georgia.
A celebration of George’s life is to be conducted at 10:00 A.M. Friday June 29, 2018 at St. Simons Christian Renewal 6530 Frederica Road St. Simons Island GA with the Reverend Mike Murray officiating.
In lieu of customary remembrances, the family request memorial contributions be made to Magnolia Manor 2255 Frederica Road St. Simons Island, GA 31522.
