

He was born in New Hartford, NY, and graduated in 1944 from Whitesboro High School where he then joined the Army Air Corps. In 1946, he joined the US Navy and came to N.A.S. Glynco in 1961 until his retirement in 1974. After his retirement, he earned an Associate Degree of Business from Brunswick Junior College and worked in sales at Wholesale Industrial Supply Company.
While residing in Brunswick, he was heavily involved with the City Recreation Department as a volunteer coach and umpire. He was an avid bowler and golfer. He was also a member of St. Francis Xavier Church.
He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Margaret (Peggy) White; sons, Robert White (Linda), Thomas White (Mimi) of Brunswick, GA; daughters Barbara Neyman (George) of Tulsa, OK and Susan Ray (Steve) of Las Vegas, NV; four grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
There will be a visitation at Edo Miller Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 3rd, from 7:00 to 8:00 pm. A funeral Mass officiated by Father Wilfrid Logsdon will be held at St. Francis Xavier Church, Thursday, August 4th, at 2:00 pm with internment to follow at Brunswick Memorial Park Cemetery. Pallbearers will include Jimmy and Chris Brown, Bill Reeves, Bill and Robert Sears, and Emory Young.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Francis Xavier Church.
