
Jerry Schueneman, loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, passed away on Wednesday, July 16. Born on January 12, 1935 in Chicago, IL to Arthur and Esther Schueneman, Jerry married the love of his life, Alison Hill of Walpole, MA, on November 15, 1972 in Atlanta, GA.
Jerry is remembered as a man of great faith and conviction who never met a stranger. He was a founding member of the Men's Morning Bible Study at Trinity Presbyterian in Atlanta, a tradition he carried to the men's group at St. Simons Presbyterian. Jerry headed the Rotary Club Taps at Twilight Memorial Day celebration out of his love for his country and the Marine Corps. Jerry was active in the St. Simons community. He served as a president of MOAA, a board member of Sea Palms, and enjoyed socializing with coasters and sandpipers.
Along with his wife Alison, Jerry leaves behind 5 children (Trent, Wade, Lynn Alison, Sarah and Jay), 10 grandchildren (Chase, Ryan, Cameron, Luke, Liam, Brian, Anna, Eva, Nicole and Shelby), his brother Ron of Hearst, TX, and his beloved rescued golden retriever, Cassie.
Services will be held at St. Simons Presbyterian Church on Saturday, July 19 at 11:00 AM. A reception will follow the service.
