Geraldine Smith Fuller, born April 16, 1961, of Brunswick, Georgia peacefully entered her rest on September 22, 2026, at Hospice of Golden Isles surrounded by the family and friends that she loved so deeply.
A lifelong learner and local community member, Geraldine graduated from Brunswick High School in 1979 and went on to attend Brunswick College. Her natural charisma led to a distinguished 47-year career as an appliance saleswoman at H&H Lifestyles (formerly H&H Service Store), where she designed many kitchens and family rooms with appliances. She was known by her colleagues and generations of loyal customers for her sharp wit, incredible work ethic, and an unmatched ability to connect with anyone who walked through the door. She was highly creative with her abilities in design, so Geraldine would listen to her clients and make recommendations based on years of cutting-edge experience in product knowledge. She built lasting relationships with generations of loyal customers. Her business acumen and encouraging spirit left a profound legacy, deeply inspiring her son with his own career as a Concrete Contractor.
A woman of faith, Geraldine demonstrated her dedication to Jehovah through water baptism on January 11th, 1998. She lived her life rooted in Christian values, displaying grace, kindness, and an unshakeable love for Jehovah God. As a dedicated servant of Jehovah, she demonstrated her faith by following Jesus Christ in preaching the good news of God’s Kingdom.
Her love for melody started early in life, and she fondly remembered her days playing the clarinet in the Jane Macon Middle and Brunswick High School marching bands, a passion that fostered a lifelong appreciation for music and community. She inspired her daughters Leslie and Natalie with her love for band music as they played the alto saxophone and the clarinet, respectively in their high school bands.
Geraldine’s greatest pride and joy was her family. She was a devoted mother to her three children---Leslie, Natalie, and Isaiah Jr.---and a doting grandmother to her two grandchildren, Errick Jr., and Jordan, who brought endless light into her life. Her grandchildren referenced her as “Sweet Ma” and spent a lot of time with her at her home.
She enjoyed having family and friends gathering at her home for her favorite meals of spaghetti bake or a crab boil with all the fixin’s of crab, shrimp, potatoes, sausage, and anything that made a crab boil a feast.
She grew up in a vibrant, loving household as one of eight children along with her parents Leamon and Sarah Smith. She maintained an incredibly close bond with her large family and her surviving mother, Sarah, whom she cherished. Geraldine had a remarkably close relationship with her father, Leamon Sr., who preceded her in death. The two shared a rare, beautiful bond and they could always be found cracking jokes and filling the room with laughter. Geraldine’s legacy of laughter, dedication, and faith will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
She leaves to cherish her memories, three children: Leslie D. Fabain, Natalie A. Hughes (Glen), and Isaiah L. West, Jr. (Essence), two grandchildren: Errick Fabain Jr., and Jordan Fabain, her mother: Sarah L. Smith, seven siblings: Leamon Smith Jr. (Rita), Frances L. Andrews, Rosetta D. Marion (L.C.), Mary S. Johnson (Raymond Sr.), and Leroy Smith (Demetris) all of Brunswick, GA and Willie Mae St. Brun (Jacque), of Lawrenceville, GA and Virginia Bullock, of Suwanee, GA, one uncle: James Taylor of Brunswick, GA, and one aunt: Kathryn Bradley of Killeen, Texas. She also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and sorrowing friends.
