

Gloria Jean Colson Davis, 80, of Brunswick passed away Tuesday, December 23, 2014. Gloria was born February 27, 1934 in Jacksonville, Florida. After moving from Fernandina Beach, she also lived in Camden County and later moved to Brunswick where she lived for 18 years. She was a homemaker and took care of her children and family. Gloria was of the Methodist Faith and set a good example of being a Godly woman. Her favorite scripture was the Lord’s Prayer. She also loved spending time with her family, listening to music, visiting the beach and animals. She was a loving mother and grandmother who will be missed dearly.
She is preceded in death by her parents: William Edward and Nattlie Colson and three sisters: Laverne Kerry, Lejuana Bruce and Delores Colson.
Survivors include her three sons: Johnnie Walker (Lynn) of Brunswick; Jim H. Walker (Mickie) of Jacksonville, Florida and Gerald D. Walker of Twin City, Georgia; three grandchildren: Teona Morris (Lance) of Douglas, Georgia, David Ruffin of Brunswick and Daniel Walker (Leann) of Barnwell, South Carolina; her great grandchildren: Tyler Morris, Kali Morris-Brigmond, Jessi-Mae Walker, Lori-Ann Walker, Ami-Jo Walker and Robert Lee Walker; her sister: Dawn Merck (Walter) of Kingsland, Georgia, five neices and five nephews, twelve great nieces, nine great nephews and many other relatives.
A celebration of Gloria's life will be held 2 p.m., Saturday, January 17, 2015, in the chapel of Coastal Camden Funeral Home, 935 East King Ave., Kingsland, GA., 31548.
