Grady Eugene Sapp

Grady Eugene Sapp, Jr. (Gene) passed away on January 31, 2021 at age 70. He was born in Wadsworth, Ohio, and attended Glynn Academy after his family moved to Brunswick, graduating in 1969. He was employed by the Brunswick-Glynn County Joint Water & Sewer Commission and moved to Valley Head, Alabama after his retirement.

He is survived by his children Jesse Sapp, of Brunswick, Ernest Sapp of Brunswick, sister Susan Leachman of Old Hickory, Tennessee and Mary Schmidt of Trenton, Georgia, grandchildren Dayaner'a Sapp, Chanler Sapp, Hailie Sapp and Lauren Sapp, several nieces and nephews, and family members Jeannie Enzian and Mandi Grandstaff.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Grady and Bernadine Sapp of Brunswick, Georgia, and sister Cynthia Jeannette Ramsey of California.

Gene loved his family and friends with his whole heart. He was a kind-hearted and gentle man with a crazy sense of humor. He loved fishing, motorcycles, and his dogs, and if you met him even once, you never forgot him.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of South Coastal Georgia. The family will hold a memorial service at a later date.
