Harold was a native of Kentucky, and served in the US Navy for 3 years, earning an honorable discharge in 1955. He later moved to Brunswick where he met and married his wife, Shirley, and the couple opened Dunker Donuts on Norwich Street. Harold was an active member of Bible Baptist Church and enjoyed watching the Stock Market in his free time.
His parents, John Dawson Scott and Bertha Smitty Scott; a son, Clinton Harold Scott and two brothers, Sammy and J.W. Scott preceded him in death.
Harold is survived by his wife, Shirley Jean Burnette Scott of Brunswick; a daughter, Bertha Boone of Brunswick; two grandsons, Kevin Boone of Brunswick and Bryan Boone (Jodie) of Darien; a brother, William Scott (Barbara) of Shelbyville, KY and several nieces and nephews.
Harold’s memorialization will be by cremation.
