My frienship with Hazel goes way back to the days our children were little and we met working in the kindergarten at First Baptish Church in East Point. Later we worked together at the Diabetes Association and at the Georgia Dept of Labor after that. In fact, it is due to Hazel that I have a little retirement. I had not worked in years, and nobody was hiring, especially 58 year old cookie baking mommies. Thanks to Hazel and a mutual friend there, they hired me, and I spent over 10 years with the state. we had many happy and sad times togethr, and some funny ones. She had a good sense of humor. I miss her already. Old age was catching up with both of us, and we couldn't get together; but we enjoyed reminiscing over the phone. Although she was widowed too young, she had close years with Jack and was so blessed with Allen and David, two good sons. I love you boys! Remember she is not lost or gone... we know where she is ......only gone ahead and is now well and happy again.
