

Hazel McCarthy White, 90, of White Oak died on Wednesday July 25, 2012. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, July 28, 2012 at Waverly United Methodist Church at 11am. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Homeward Cemetery in Waverly, GA.
Hazel was born June 25, 1922 to Ila Beatrice Lang and EAP McCarthy in Tarboro, GA and has been a Camden County resident her entire life. She graduated from Camden County High School and attended Georgia Womens College in Milledgeville, GA and was the owner of the Tarboro Mercantile Company for many years. She was a Member of Waverly United Methodist Church.
In addition to her parents, Hazel was preceded in death by her husband, Armond Lloyd White; Three sisters, Louise Freeman, Dolly Calhoun, and Marguerite Meagher; One brother, Allan McCarthy; And one daughter, Barbara Lowell.
She is survived by her daughters Carol Blanc (Tom), Margaret Crews (David), Beth Lowell, and Florence Drury (Hoydt), all of White Oak, five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and one great great-grandchild.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of the Golden Isles, 1692 Glynco Parkway, Brunswick, GA 31525.
Mrs. White’s arrangements have been placed into the care of Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home.
