Henry Powell "Mac" McDonald III

Henry Powell McDonald, III (Mac), 63, a resident of Brunswick, died Sunday 9/27/15 in the Hospice of the Golden Isles.

Mac was born June 8, 1952 in Brunswick to the late Powell and Joyce Wright McDonald. Mac graduated from Glynn Academy Class of 1970 and attended Brunswick Junior College.

Mac was a long time member of B.P.O.E. Elk #691, Wednesday Night Men’s Bowling League, a member of First Presbyterian Church and attended the Pine Ridge Baptist Church in Brunswick.

He was employed by Glynn Distributors, then owned and operated a steak house in Ocala, Fl., then worked for Rich Products and retired from L.C. Industries at F.L.E.T.C.

Survivors are his wife of 32 years, Jean Beard McDonald of Brunswick, his son, Brian Christopher McDonald of Brunswick, two sisters, Sally M. O’Cain (Harry) of Waverly, Ga., and Lisa M. Parmelee (Mike) of St. Simons Island and several aunts, Uncles and cousins.

Funeral Services will be held at 11 AM Thursday 10/1/15 in the Pine Ridge Baptist Church with Rev. Michael Gibbs officiating. Interment will follow in Palmetto Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 5:30 to 7:30 PM Wednesday in the Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home.

Active pallbearers will: Jason Bennett, Kenny Bennett, Sam Beard, Andrew Parmelee, Emory Wright and Michael Parmelee. Honorary pallbearers will be: Members of B.P.O.E #691 and Wednesday Night Men’s Bowling league.
