Hilton Edenfield

Funeral service will be held in the Chapel of Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home at 10:30AM on Saturday, January 6, 2018, with Pastor Danny Webster officiating. A special friend Holly Dickerson will give the eulogy. Interment with Military Honors will follow in Chapel Park Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Kevin Bellisle, Damon Waller, Robbie Waller, D.J. Sills, Gavin Woodall, Jonathan Lundgren, Chris Sills and Don Edenfield.

Family will receive friends at Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 2, 2018 from 7 – 9 PM.

Hilton was born in Waycross to his parents Rollie and Myrtise Edenfield. He graduated from Glynn Academy in 1947. He was a U.S. Army Veteran and part of the Mechanized Calvary, 11th Airborne, 1949 Radio Operators, and the National Guard. Hilton enjoyed working numerous jobs. From 1949 to 1968 he was a U.S. Postman with the Postal Service. He also worked for Sea Island and Shadron’s Furniture both for 13 years.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife of 61 years Carmel Arlene Edenfield; his sons Jerrald Jonathon Edenfield and Donald Ray Edendfield; and a sister Maxie Lee Chester.

He is survived by his children Carolyn Arlene Sills and husband Douglas; Mary Jane Lundgren and husband Randy; and Hilton Earl Edenfield and wife Sandy; his sister Bonnie Louise Girtman; 13 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and other loved ones and friends.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home.
