Bishop Hinton C. Johnson, age 93 of Brunswick, GA, Glynn County went to be with the Lord September 1, 2026. Hinton was an Ordained Bishop in the Church of God of Prophecy and had served as Pastor in many churches during his time of ministry in Georgia as well as in other states. He completed High School and later obtained a Diploma in the Bible Training Institute in Cleveland, Tennessee.
Hinton is predeceased by his spouse of 75 years, Gracie Geraldine Mallard Johnson, his parents Hansford and Markey Johnson, two brothers Clayton Johnson and Starling Johnson and sister Trellis Robinson.
Survivors are a sister Bernice Priest of Brunswick, several nieces and nephews; sisters-in-law Ivalene Miles, Julie Webster, Pat Branch, Opal Mallard, Becky Mallard and brother-in-law Roger (Sharon) Mallard.
Services will be held at the Edo Miller Funeral Home Chapel in Brunswick, GA with Pastor Chris Boyd officiating.
Visitation will be held Friday September 4, 2026 at 10:30 A.M. with the service following immediately at 11:00 A.M.
Honorary pallbearers will be Adam Cothern, Alton Roland and members of the Adult Sunday School Class, Sterling Church of God of Prophecy. The staff of the Bayview Nursing and Rehab Community are also honorary pallbearers.

Private burial will be in the Palmetto Cemetery in Brunswick, GA.
