
Born January 31, 1923 in Washington, DC, Reid retired in St. Marys in 1982 after 34 years with the Aluminum Company of America (Alcoa), where he was the Associate VP for Overseas Smelting and Sales. He was a Veteran of WWII and served in the Pacific as a Marine. After the war, he received a BS in Chemical Engineering from North Carolina State University. He was chairman of St. Marys Library Board for 6 years, and he also was a Member of The Navy League, serving one year as a board member. In addition, Mr. Clark was a private pilot, a Rotarian, and a member of Christ Episcopal Church in St. Marys.
Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Janet Baker Clark of St. Marys, two sons, Dr. J.O. Clark and wife Gail of Mint Hill, NC, John Baker Clark of Wilmington, NC, and a daughter, Susan Clark Finsterle of Fredericksburg, VA and seven grandchildren.
