

James Adam Davis, 84, of Brunswick, departed his life Monday, March 1, 2022 at Hospice of the Golden Isles. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 am on Monday, March 7, 2022 in the chapel of Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home with Reverends Wright Culpepper and Bill Culpepper officiating. Interment will follow at 3 pm in Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Glennville, Georgia with Military Honors. Honorary Pallbearers will be Adam Davis, Tanner Davis, Brady Davis, Rogers Stone, Gene Brannen, George Coulson, and Alton De Pratter.
Born July 21, 1937 in DeBord, Kentucky to the late Brady and Mary C. Davis, Mr. Davis was a Retired US Navy Veteran. He then became PE Coach at Goodyear Elementary and retired after 20 years. He had been a resident of Glynn County since 1976 and was a member of First United Methodist Church of Brunswick. Mr. Davis enjoyed fishing, country music, eating hot dogs, and spending time with his grandchildren. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister Glenda Crandell.
Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Sara Davis of Brunswick, three children, Joey Davis and wife Patty of Crestview, FL, Lisa Davis of Macon, GA, and Michael Davis and wife Kelley of Brunswick, four grandchildren, Adam Davis, Jenna Smith, Tanner Davis, and Brady Davis, three great grandchildren, Philip Smith, Chelsea Smith, and Maggie Haass, two brothers, Paul Davis and wife Gina of Tacoma, WA, and Boyd Davis of Newberry Springs, CA, and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon from 5pm until 7pm at Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home.
