

Mr. Garrison was a native of Sumner County, TN. and had been a resident of Brunswick for the past 42 years.
Mr. Garrison was retired from the Glynn County Board of Education, transportation center, employed for 9 years with Sterling Liquor Store and 3 years as a driver for Toyota Car Sales.
He was a member, a deacon, treasure and ran the sound system for the Way of the Cross Baptist Church for 25 years.
He loved fishing, his gun collection, attending his Church, the Atlanta Braves Baseball team and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his wife, Blanche Manning Garrison.
Survivors are his children, Michel Garrison of Wyaneotte, MI, Colleen Fletcher of Canada, Jammie garrison of Detroit, MI, Joe Whittemore of Clayton, N.C., Carl Whittemore of Wyercove, VA., Ernie Whittemore of Wytheville, Va., and Cheri Miller of Brunswick, 17 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at 2 PM Tuesday 4/5/11 from the Way of the Cross Baptist Church in Brunswick, with rev. Joey Chaney officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery in Brunswick
Active pallbearers will be: Steve Garrison, Michael Garrison, David Garrison, Ernie Whitlemore, Ronald Bagley, Sr. and Ronald Bagley, Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be: Dr. James Green, Jim Myers, Theron McCarthy and Mickey Coen.
The family request contributions may be made to the Hospice of the Golden Isles, 1692 Glynco Parkway, Brunswick, Ga., 31523.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 PM Tuesday 4/5/11.
