James "Jamie" Thomas Crosby III

James “Jamie” Thomas Crosby III, 30, of Hortense, GA passed away Tuesday, March 21, 2017. Mr. Crosby was born in Brunswick, GA on July 20, 1986 and had been a resident of Hortense, GA for most of his life. He attended Brantley High School and was employed with the Coruias Corporation as maintenance personnel at the College of Coastal Georgia. Those who knew and love Mr. Crosby will remember him for his avid passion for fishing at the Altamaha River, hunting, video games, and loud music. He leaves many fond memories that will be cherished by all.

Mr. Crosby is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents William and Jetty Underwood, Tommy, and step parental grandparents Mary and Jack Bennett.

Survivors include his mother Patricia Starr Bennett and step-father Steven Craig Bennett, SR both of Hortense, GA; his father James Thomas Crosby, II of Atkinson GA; his parental grandmother Mary Crosby of Brunswick, GA; his sister January Dawn Crosby of Darien, GA; his two brothers Steven” Craig” Bennett, II and Jack William Bennett “Billy” both of Hortense, GA; his fiancé Casey Zornes and daughter Anastasia of Brunswick, GA; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM-8:00 PM Saturday, March 25,, 2017 at Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, March 26, 2017 in the chapel of Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home with Pastor Justin Thornton officiating. Burial will follow in the family’s private lot at 644 Jones Road Hortense, Georgia.

Serving as active pallbearers will be William Underwood, Joey Phillips, Rocky Phillips, Corey Roberts, John Harrison, and Joshua Brauda.
