

Jim Paladino, 91, of Brunswick, GA, passed away peacefully Tuesday, March 28, 2023, with his family at his side. Born in Detroit, MI, in 1931, Jim graduated from Clawson High School, Clawson, MI, in 1949. He received a degree in Education in 1953 from Eastern Michigan University and was a Sigma Tau Gamma Fraternity member. Jim was a Veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during the Korean War (1953-1955). After the war, Jim taught English and History at the secondary level in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. In 1958, Jim began a 28-year career with Equifax Services, Inc /Retail Credit, Atlanta, GA. He retired from Equifax in Jacksonville, FL, in 1986, as District Vice President over the S.E. U.S. and Puerto Rico. In 2008, Jim and his wife Linda relocated from Ponte Vedra Beach, FL to Brunswick, GA to be closer to family.
Jim was preceded in death by his mother, Anna Paladino, Clawson, MI; his father, Girolamo (James) Paladino, Lantana, Fl; and his sister, Lois Harris, Troy, MI.
He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Linda Bennett Paladino; two daughters, Susan Lubin of Brooklyn, NY, and Karen Maresca (Gene) of Colts Neck, NJ; and step-son D.E. DeLoach, III, (Trey) of Patterson, GA. Also surviving Jim are his eight grandchildren: Melissa Lubin (Merritt Duff), Matthew Lubin (Zee Beyzaei), and Emily Lubin; Chrissy Bonura (Dominick), Michael and Brian Maresca; and Tristan and Rebecca DeLoach; six great-grandchildren, Oliver and Hayden Duff, Lily and Juliette Bonura, Jaxson Maresca, and Weslynn Blythe. Jim is also survived by his brother Donald Paladino (Betty) of Clawson, MI, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life service will be held Saturday, April 29, at 11 am at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, Brunswick, GA.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, contributions in Jim’s name be made to SOAR, designating the donation for the Steve Bennett Legacy Fund. SOAR is a non-profit organization providing organized social opportunities for Developmentally Disabled Adults. Contributions may be mailed to:
