Jimmy was born to parents Wayne Rodney Quinn and Charlotte Felton Quinn in Morgantown, West Virginia. When he was two, the family moved to St. Simons. Jimmy was a graduate of Glynn Academy, class of 1979. He attended the University of Georgia and graduated from Georgia Southern University with Bachelor’s degrees in both Business and Finance. Jimmy was a dedicated employee of Sea Island, working as a payroll specialist until his health began to decline. He was a compassionate man with a wonderful sense of humor and made many life-long friends! Jimmy loved going to the beach, especially the Myrtle Street area, where he would spend hours socializing with friends. He was an avid reader and loved to watch Law and Order.
His mother, Charlotte, preceded him in death in 2014.
Jimmy is survived by his father, Wayne Quinn; a sister, Barbara Johnson and her husband, Chris; his dog, Mitzie and special friends, Joey Cason, Carter Ramsey, Greg Gregory, Jimmy Boyer and Dale Broussard.
Visitation will be Monday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home.
A graveside service will be on Tuesday at 11:00 am at Oglethorpe Memorial Gardens on St. Simons Island.
