James Thomas Seavey Jr.

Born on March 27, 1943, to James Thomas Seavey, Sr., and Dorothy E. Sturm, James went on to graduate from the Allentown Central Catholic High School in 1960. He later obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in History from St. Joseph’s University in Philadelphia, as well as a Master’s degree from the University of Pittsburgh. James served in the United States Air Force and spent most of his career working for the United States Customs Service.

In his later life, James cherished time spent at church, with his lunch group, traveling the world, and watching movies. He was a loving father and grandfather.

James was preceded in death by his parents and his loving wife, Cathleen Ann Snow. He later remarried and was preceded in death by Janice Whitson. He leaves behind two sons, James Timothy Seavey (Michelle) of Charleston, South Carolina, and Geoffrey Michael Seavey (Andrea) of St. Louis, Missouri; a daughter, Rebecca Anne Seavey of Brunswick, Georgia; six grandchildren, Emily Seavey, Benjamin Seavey, Mitchell Seavey, Harrison Seavey, Avery Smith, and Samuel Ricks; a brother, Robert Seavey (Yasuko); and nephews, Kenneth Seavey and Kevin Seavey.

A memorial mass will be held on Saturday, July 1, 2023 at 10:30 AM at the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church.
