
Janice Talada, 79, of Jekyll Island, GA, passed away at Brunswick Golden Isles Hospice Care on April 11, 2026. Born January 24, 1947, she lived a life full of passion, purpose, and love for those around her.
An avid tennis player, golfer, card shark and painter, Janice embraced life with energy and joy. Janice was a proud member of the Junior League of Elmira, NY, where she served as President as well as the editor of the beloved Thru the Grapevine, Finger Lakes Region Cookbook. She also owned and operated her own placement service company for decades and was a member of the Jekyll Island United Methodist Church.
Janice is survived by her husband, James Talada; daughters Kimberly Patrizi (wife of John Patrizi) and Jennifer Streeter (wife of Duffy Whitmer); step-son Reed Talada (husband of Kathryn Ploetz); grandchildren Alexander, Jack, and Helen; sister Marilyn Cavanaugh; and many nieces and nephews.
Janice touched many during her lifetime and will be deeply missed.
