

Jean Roberson Harrell, 86, of Brunswick passed away December 5, 2012 at Senior Care Center of Brunswick. A Funeral Service is scheduled for11AM Saturday, December 8, 2012 at First Presbyterian Church of Brunswick, with Rev. Dawn Mayes and Dr. John Laws officiating.
Mrs. Harrell was born Ella Jean Roberson on August 4, 1926 to Joseph Oscar and Pearl Nichols Roberson in Screven, GA. She graduated from Screven High School and attended Valdosta State College for Women (Valdosta State University). Mrs. Harrell worked in Brunswick building ships for the war effort during World War II. Mrs. Harrell also worked in the insurance field for 25 years. She was an avid traveler, she and various traveling companions traveled to many places including Scotland, England, France and Italy. In later years she enjoyed attending church at First Presbyterian Church of Brunswick where she was a member. She also enjoyed watching golf and football on television and dining out with friends as well as spending time with her loving cat. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Dan N. Harrell.
Mrs. Harrell is survived by her two sons Dan Harrell of Richmond Hill, GA and Ronnie Harrell of Gainesville, FL, one sister in law Idelle Roberson of Nashville, GA and a brother in law Don Waldron of Screven, GA.
The family will receive friends Friday, December 7, 2012 3:00-5:00 pm at Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home.
