In addition to her family, Jeannie was devoted to the church. She was Director of Christian Education at the First Church of Christ in Longmeadow, Massachusetts from 1986-1991 and then at the First Church of Christ in Milford, Connecticut from 1991-1996, where she enjoyed with working with the children. Jeannie moved to coastal Georgia in 1996, where she later met and fell in love with Rocky Brown. They were married in 2011.
