Jessica Reid Harris Bloom

Jessica Reid Harris Bloom, 31, of St. Simons Island, passed away Wednesday, October 14, 2015. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, October 20, 2015 at 2PM in the Chapel of Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home with Rev. David Yarborough officiating. Burial will follow at Palmetto cemetery. Pallbearers include: Thomas Vonashek, J.P. Vonashek, Reid Harris, III, Victor Dower, Jason Lusher, Eddie Hulse, Chris Hulse and Brian Hulse.

Jessica was born on April 29, 1984 to Michael Harris and Miriam Vonashek in Brunswick. She was a graduate of Glynn Academy High School and furthered her education, majoring in marketing and education. She had graduated from Georgia Southern and had teaching certificates in Georgia and Florida. She was employed at First Coast High School in Duval County where she loved teaching. She also loved being a mother to her son, Michael Harris Bloom.

Jessica is preceded in death by her Grandparents: Reid Walker Harris and Doris Nelms Harris; and her Maternal Grandfather: James Edward Hulse, Jr.

Survivors include her Son: Michael Harris Bloom of St. Simons Island; her Spouse: Mark Bradley Bloom of Woodbine; her Father: Michael Myddleton Harris (Debra) of St. Simons; three Brothers: Jason Anthony Lusher, Thomas Vonashek and Jame Vonashek; her Mother: Miriam Vonashek; her Sister: Frazier Vonashek; her Uncles: Douglas Howell Harris (Melissa), Reid Walker Harris, Jr (Colleen); and her Maternal Grandmother: Frances Hulse. She is also survived by several other relatives and friends.
