Jimmy Lawson Howard

Jimmy Lawson Howard, 65, of Townsend, GA passed away Thursday the 29th of November at his residence. A graveside service will be held 2:30 PM Sunday the 2nd of December 2012 at Davis Cemetery, South Newport, GA , North McIntosh County with Reverend Bill Brown and Reverend Danny Stilwell officiating the service. Burial will follow the service. Serving pallbearers are Michael Howard, Tony Henrique, Ronnie Kirkland, Jr., William Manor, John Ryals, Wayne Deal, and Stevie Lee.

Family will receive friends 6PM – 8PM Saturday evening the 1st of December 2012 at Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home.

Mr. Howard was born in Jesup, GA on the 23rd of April 1947 to the late Charles Lawson Howard and the late Rudell O’Berry Howard. He has been a resident of McIntosh County for 65 years.

Mr. Howard retired from Seaboard Construction Company as a Diesel Mechanic, and was an avid outdoorsman. Mr. Howard was a loving Husband, Father and Grandfather that enjoyed spending quality time with his family, and was a member of the Cowboy Church in Darien. .

In addition to Mr. Howard’s parents he is preceded in death by his three brothers, Tommy Howard, Wilson Howard, and Leroy Howard.

Mr. Howard is survived by his loving wife of 45 years Jane Howard of Townsend, GA; his son Kenneth Howard and wife Annette of Darien, GA; granddaughter Hannah Jane Howard of Kennesaw, GA; two sisters Trisha Howard of Auburn, GA and Janet Thomas of Broxton, GA; a brother Rusty Howard of Brunswick, GA; and many other relatives.
