

John “JP” Patrick, 21, of Saint Simons Island, passed away Monday, April 8, 2013. The family will receive friends Friday, April 12, 2013 from 6-8PM at Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life service will be held Saturday, April 13, 2013 at 4PM at Wesley United Methodist Church with Rev. John Stephens officiating.
JP was born November 13, 1991 to John Patrick, Jr. and Connie Lynn Patrick in Brandon, Florida. He is a graduate of New Smyrna Beach High School in New Smyrna Beach, Florida where he lettered in golf and tennis. He was a student at the College of Coastal Georgia. JP was an accomplished bowler and owned and operated JP’s Pro Shop at the Strikezone here in Brunswick.
In 2012 he scored back to back perfect games scoring 28 strikes in a row and commemorated in the USBC Bowler’s Magazine. He loved life and had a passion for bowling. He lived his life to the fullest each day, always making his friends and family laugh.
He is survived by his parents: John and Connie Patrick of St. Simons Island; three sisters: Elizabeth Patrick Allen of Greensboro, NC; Shannon Raye Patrick of St. Simons Island and Jenny Patrick Donaway of New Smyrna Beach, FL; one nephew: Joshua Donaway; his grandmother: Loretta Heath of Titusville, FL and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to the Wesley United Methodist Church Youth Foundation, The Gathering Place, the National Epilepsy Foundation or a charity of your choice.
