Coming up on a year since JPs untimely passing and still find it so hard to believe. My heart goes out to the Patrick family and I think about JP often. Love to you all.

I am very saddened to hear about JP's passing. I knew him from the Strike Zone around 07 or 08. He was always in the pro shop. We bowled an adult/youth tournament together in Kingsland, GA. He was always so pleasant and a good kid. I hope he is enjoying the lanes in Heaven.

May you take comfort where the Bible reads "Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted".  Matthew 5:4  The God of the universe who created all things knows your pain and is with you and can comfort you like none of us can.  May you have the peace that passes understanding all the days of your life.

During a golf outing with JP, John, and my brother Mike (who holds a PGA card and was the head golf professional for Sea Island for twelve years), I couldn't help but stick my then new driver in the face of everyone and boast of the greatness that this magic club would provide me from the tee.  I was first to tee off, down the middle and a good distance for me.  As JP stepped up to the tee box, I offered him my new driver, but JP declined.  I persisted, “JP this is a one wood and you have a three wood.”  JP smiled, drove his ball out of sight down the middle with an old beat up club that most players wouldn't want to be seen with in public.

As JP stepped from the tee box, we were treated to that wonderful infectious smile as he stated Mr. Haisten, “$29.99 at Wal-Mart!”  My brother's comment was, “Tommy he is a natural!”  

I will miss JP for many reasons.  To sum it up, JP had class and exuded many traits that exemplify a fine southern gentleman far more than his years.

My prayers will stay with you, John, and Connie and for the soul of JP.

Although our paths have not crossed for many years, I wanted to send my condolences to you on the loss of your son, JP. May the love and support of family and friends along with your faith and fond memories of JP lead you to a path of peace. Take care.

   It is never easy to loose a child, especially when one is taken so young. Time will ease the pain a bit but the emptiness will always be there. We can not rationalize why, only that there is a greater plan. My condolences to you and your family from an old BCSO associate.
