Johnny Silva, 69, of Athens, Georgia passed away Friday, December 30, 2011 at his residence. He was born in Brunswick on November 13, 1942 to the late Manuel Silva and Jessie Holmes. He served in the United States Navy for 12 years and lived in Athens, Georgia for the past two years.
He is survived by his brother: Troy Deluca of Brunswick and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held Thursday, January 5, 2012 at 11:00AM at Palmetto Cemetery with Rev. Harold Turner officiating. Pallbearers include Charlie Smith, Robbie Smith, Lee Swain and Matt Williams. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Salvation Army.
