She was born in Melbourne, Australia, on July 23, 1924. Mrs. Lambright was employed as a civilian stenographer in General Douglas MacArthur’s Melbourne Headquarters. In 1942, she met and married Lt. Edwin Gibbs Lambright, who was stationed there during WWII. In 1945, they moved to Brunswick where they raised their children and enjoyed living and contributing to the community.
She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and was Secretary/Treasurer of the church as a Pink Lady for many years, volunteered at Map International and was a life time member of Hospice of the Golden Isles.
Mrs. Lambright was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Edwin G. Lambright, Sr., her brother, Kenneth A. Wright, Sr. of Brunswick, and her sons, Kenneth Wright Lambright, Sr. and Russell John Lambright, both of Brunswick.
She is survived by son Eddie (Dorothy) Lambright of Brunswick, daughters-in-law Jayne Lambright of St. Simons Island and Claudia Lambright of Statham, GA, sister-in-law Ann Wright of Brunswick, grandchildren Lisa Lambright of Jacksonville, John (Erin) Lambright of Savannah, Daniel Lambright of Flowery Branch, Ken (Lori) Lambright, Jr. of St. Simons Island, and Kirk Lambright of Brunswick, nephew Ken Wright, Jr. of New York City, niece Mary Lambright of Savannah, and 7 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at Edo Miller and Sons, Brunswick, Ga, Tuesday, June 1st, from 5 to 7. Edo Miller & Sons is in charge of arrangements.
There will be a private graveside service.
