Judy C. Young, age 65, of Darien, died Tuesday, November 25, 2014. She enjoyed working crossword puzzles, cooking and traveling to the mountains. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Jerry Porter and Elwood Holbrook.
She is survived by her husband of 29 years, James “JD” Young of Darien; a daughter, Renita Hanly and her son, Justin of Darien; a son, Robert G. Hanly (Sara) and his children, Rowdy, River and Gunner of Oviedo, FL; a step daughter, Pam Hanson (Billy) and her children of South Carolina; a step son, Marion Young and his children of South Carolina; a sister, Sandy Isbell of Brunswick; and her poodle, Peanut, who was her heart.
A memorial service will be held at Northside Baptist Church in Darien on Friday, November 28, 2014 at 11:00 am with Reverend Randall Collins officiating. Burial will follow at Whispering Pines Cemetery.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
