

Julia Parker Crews of Townsend, Georgia entered into the arms of her Lord and Savior Wednesday, March 10, 2021. Julia live her life for “Service Before Self”. She was a current Emergency Medical Technician with Heartland EMT. She was also a past EMT and volunteer firefighter with McIntosh County.
Julia was born in Atlanta, Georgia the daughter of the late Thomas Augustus and Patricia Parker. She was also preceded in death by a brother, John Light Jr. She grew up in Waycross, Georgia and was a graduate of Ware County High School. She attended Gwinnett Technical College for nursing and graduated as an EMT from Ware County Technical College. Julia had resided in Townsend for over 20 years. She was of the Baptist faith and a loving mother. She was a caring lady that placed everyone’s needs above hers. She enjoyed shopping for a bargain. She loved the Blue Ridge Mountains and traveling to North Carolina for the scenery. She loved joking around in a sarcastic manner. She enjoyed being around others and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Left to carry on her joyful memories are her son, Brandon Crews (Makayla) of Townsend, GA; her two precious grandchildren, Kaydence and Brentley Crews; her biological parents, John and Ann Light; a sister Dena Light; her Chihuahua, Rubble whom she loved dearly. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
The family and first responders will line up at Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home on Friday, March 19, 2021 starting at 9:45 AM and will depart at 10:30 AM to Shellman Bluff Baptist Church in Townsend, GA. The celebration of life service will begin at 12:00 PM with Rev. Brad Butler officiating. You are cordially invited to join the family in celebrating a life well lived with consideration of wearing a mask and social distancing.
Honorary Pallbearers will be all First Responders in attendance.
Memorial contributions may be made in Julia’s memory to Shellman Bluff Baptist Church.
