Kay is survived by her husband of 49 years, Richard, two children Michael and Megan, their spouses and two grandchildren. She graduated from South Hagerstown High School and Georgia Southern University where she met her future husband. Upon graduating from GSU, she was employed as a case worker at Georgia Baptist Children’s Home. After moving to Blacksburg Virginia, she served as the first special events coordinator for the town of Blacksburg. Later she embarked on a successful career as a real estate agent. Additionally, she was a talented craftsperson, starting first as a quilter before transitioning to making stained glass. After moving to St Simons Island, she took up golf and greatly enjoyed her time playing the Jekyll Island Golf Club courses with her friends. At her request there will be no service.
