

Kyle Ellis Lewis, 83, of St. Mary’s, Georgia, passed away Wednesday, September 17, 2014 at his residence. A funeral service will be held Saturday, September 20, 2014 at 11AM at Agape Christian Fellowship Church in St. Mary’s. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service from 10-11AM. Interment service will be held Sunday, September 21, 2014 at 3PM at Ellabell United Methodist Church Cemetery in Ellabell, Georgia.
Mr. Lewis was born on September 23, 1930 to the late James Ellis Lewis and Zelma Lyons Lewis in Pembroke, Georgia and was a native of Ellabell, Georgia. He attended the University of Georgia in the 1950’s and has been a lifelong resident of St. Mary’s, Georgia since 1966. Kyle was involved in his community; owning a hardware store for 35 years, serving as a tax professional since 1971 and city council from 1992-1999. His passions in life included his family, tractors and being the number one Georgia Bulldog fan. Mr. Lewis loved his tractors and you could guarantee you would see him driving his tractor in all of the St. Mary’s parades.
Survivors include his wife: Patricia Ann Lewis of St. Mary’s; two sons: Hugh and Karl (Pamela) of St. Mary’s; four grandchildren: Kaitlyn, Karyn, Kristopher and Karson; and several nieces and nephews and cousins.
