

Lee was born November 20th 1927 in Chester, PA to his parents General Franklin P and Louise B Haller, both of whom precede him in death. He grew up in Folcroft, PA and attended Valley Forge Military Academy, graduating in 1946. He was President of his class and editor of the year book. He attended Ursinus College for two years. A veteran of the US Navy, Lee was a Flying Midshipman. He was a member of the Psi Upsilon Fraternity at the University of Pennsylvania and graduated from the Wharton School of Business in 1953.
Survivors include his wife of 33 years, Kathleen Gilligan Haller of St Simons Island and his two sons, Lee Haller Jr and wife Jody of Hatteras, NC, their two daughters Emily and Erica, and Mitch Haller and his wife Karen of Marlboro, NJ, their two sons David and his wife Jackie, and Benjamin. Lee is also survived by five stepchildren, Michael English of Vail, CO, his two sons Matthew and Cole, Heather Summers of Exton PA, her two daughters Amanda Lee and Emma, Amy Bellón and her husband Erik, of Coral Gables FL, their three children Patrick, Mary Kate and Andrew, CW4 Timothy English and his wife Scarlett, of Richmond Hill, GA, their daughter Brooklyn, and Kate English-Brunson of Jacksonville Beach, FL, her two sons Liam and Conor. He was preceded in death by brother Franklin Haller and sister Virginia Butler.
Lee was the former owner of Lee Haller Builder Inc. in Devon, Willistown Twp and Chester Springs, PA, a very successful company that built fine custom homes and commercial projects. He was chairman of Planning and Zoning in Willistown Twp. He and his wife Kathleen were avid sailors and spent their time on the Chesapeake Bay and summers sailing to Nantucket and Newport. He was a member of the Corinthian Sailing Club. After retiring from building, he and Kathleen sailed the Caribbean, South America and Central America from 1991 to 1993. Upon returning the USA, Lee and Kathleen settled on St Simons Island where they have resided for the past 24 years.
Lee was a former Rotarian and member of the Attitude Adjustment Group. He was the past chairman of the Ivy League Club and a member of St Simons Presbyterian Church. He was a volunteer at Altama Elementary School helping children learn to read. He also volunteered to drive chemo-cancer patients for their treatments.
An avid tennis player, Lee enjoyed boating, loved classical music and opera. He was a VERY talented wood worker who made many fine pieces of furniture.
A visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday Jan. 16 at Edo Miller & Sons Funeral Home. A funeral service celebrating his life will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St Simons Presbyterian Church, 205 Kings Way, Saint Simons Island.
