Lenoria Francis Brinker Mitchell, 88. Of Brunswick, Georgia passed away Thursday, 25th of March 2021 at her residence. Mrs. Mitchell was born the 18th of October 1932 in Corning, Arkansas, to the late Edward Brinker and the late Mabel Snowden. She had been a resident of Brunswick for twenty eight years. Mrs. Mitchell retired as a physical therapist. She was a crafter that enjoyed painting, sewing, crocheting and collecting Bird houses. After retiring Mrs. Mitchell enjoyed teaching and working with children at Wesley united Methodist Church. She leaves many fond memories that will be cherished by all.
In addition to Mrs. Mitchell’s parents she is preceded in death by her loving husband James Edward Mitchell: three daughters Elizabeth "Lisa" Dittbenner, Peggy Tiggie, and Francis Perkins; two sons Tommy and Donnie Maddux: two sisters Doris Maddux and Peggy Beaver: brother Tom Brinker: Grandson Eddie Lee Maddux. grandchild John Foster: two great – grandchildren Jacob Millite, and Cody Maddux
Survivors includes Mrs. Mitchell children Eddie Maddux; Carol Windham both of Brunswick, GA; sister in law Edna Behrens of St. Simons Island, GA; sister Wanda Brinker of Brunswick, GA; nineteen grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren: and several nieces, nephews and other family members.
Visitation is to be held 4 p.m. – 6 p.m. Sunday, the 28th of March 2021 at Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home. 3321 Glynn Ave. in Brunswick.
Funeral service is to be held 11 a.m. Monday, the 29th March 2021 in the chapel of Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home where Dr. Wright Culpepper is to officiate. . Burial will follow the service at Lake Chapel Cemetery in Screven, Georgia at 2 p.m.
