Les Marvin Thomas

Les M. Thomas, 46, a resident of Brunswick, died Friday, April 9, 2010 in the Southeast Georgia Health System in Brunswick, Georgia. Les was born April 15, 1963 in Vineland, New Jersey and had been a resident of Brunswick for the past 35 years. He was a graduate of Glynn Academy and a former employee of UPS and a former owner of Coastline Landscape, Inc. He was a member of the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Brunswick. He was a member of the "Reel Dawgs" and was a loyal Georgia Bulldog fan. He was a former Glynn County Recreation Coach and loved playing football at Glynn Academy for 4 years. Les was a person with a big heart who cared for others more than him. He loved being outdoors and was an avid fisherman. He loved his children more than they will ever know and once a friend; he was your friend for life. Survivors are his son, Gene Thomas, daughters, Jenna Thomas, Twins, Marissa and Amanda Thomas, and mother of his children Terri Thomas, his parents, Les and Ellie Thomas, brothers, Craig Thomas and John Thomas, paternal grandmother, Dorothy Thomas, his aunts and uncles, Catherine and Mike Wilson all of Brunswick, George and Kathi Asselta, of Vineland, Ronald and Janet Asselta of Mays Landing, N.J., and Grace Tweedy of Spokane, WA; cousins, Ami Asselta DePietro, Ryan Asselta, Anita Asselta Formisano, Ronald Asselta, godchild, Jennifer Asselta, all of Vineland; Shaun Wilson, Chris Wilson and Kelly Kennedy all of Brunswick and special friends, Deana and Austin Cohen of Brunswick. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, John and Nellie Asselta, grandfather, J. Marvin Thomas, grandmother, Maggie Cady and a cousin, Randi Asselta.

A funeral home visitation will be held on Friday from 6 to 8 PM at Rone Funeral Service, 1110 East Chestnut Avenue, Vineland, NJ. A Funeral Mass will be held Saturday at 11am from Sacred Heart Church, 1010 East Landis Avenue, Vineland.

Pallbearers will be Gene Thomas, John Thomas, Craig Thomas, Shaun Wilson, Chris Wilson and Steven Brannon. Interment will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Vineland.
