

Ljiljana Badre, 72, of St Simons Island, GA, died Sunday, September 11, 2022. “Lillian” as she was known by family and friends, was born in Germany and immigrated to the United States with her family as a young child.
Raised in Chicago, she was the first in her family to attend college. It was while attending Southern Illinois University and majoring in an Art and Technical Illustration Degree, that she met her husband, Ramsey Badre. Their loving marriage spanned 51 years.
Lillian was known for her sweet, patient, and selfless nature-always putting others before herself. Though only bearing one child, it was her calming presence that made Lillian everyone’s mother, grandmother, sister or close confidant.
Lillian is survived by those she loved and cherished deeply, her husband, Ramsey Badre, daughter, Shenon Badre, son-in-law Ahmed Elsharkawi, beloved grandchildren, Adam and Nora, and brothers, Ray, Zeke, and Louis.
A Celebration of Life Service and a reception will take place, Saturday, September 17 at 2pm at St. Simons Presbyterian Church.
