Lloyd Earl Thompson Jr.

A Celebration of Life will be hosted by his best friend Joe Ferrier and his family Thursday, August 25, 2011 from 4PM until 6PM at Brunswick Country Club.

Born September 16, 1945 in Glynn County to Lloyd E. Thompson, Sr., and Anne G. Thompson, he was a graduate of Glynn Academy Class of 1963. After high school Mr. Thompson served in the U.S. Air Force, graduated from Georgia Southern University, and then graduated from John Marshall Law School in Savannah. He was a retired attorney having owned his own law firm in Brunswick. Mr. Thompson was of the Methodist faith and was an avid golfer and enjoyed sports. He was a lifelong resident of Glynn County.

Survivors include his son, Lloyd E. Thompson, III, of Arlington, TX, his parents, Lloyd E. Thompson, Sr., and Anne G. Thompson, both of Brunswick, a brother, Wayne A. Thompson and wife Claire of Waynesville, a sister, Dianne Harris of Brunswick, and several nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to Glynn Academy Athletics Association, 1001 Mansfield Street, Brunswick, GA 31520 in his honor.
