Louis was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He had a passion for telling stories. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family and friends. Louis was a hard worker and a good provider. He volunteered as an umpire for the Little League and followed his sons up to high school baseball. He was a member of the Taylor United Methodist Church. Louis also served his country in the US Navy and then had a successful career as a millwright, Local 177, at Hercules.
Louis is survived by his loving wife Josephine; son, Kevin Knight (Lisa); step-sons, Jim Knight and William Price; daughter-in-law, Krystal Knight; Keri Witherspoon, Kasey Griner, Ryan Knight, Brayden Knight, Frankie Horton, Bailey Witherspoon, Lilah Smith, Kate Griner, Holly Griner and several nieces and nephews.
Louis was preceded in death by his first wife, Gertrude Knight; his 2nd wife, Anne Knight; a son, Michael Knight; and his siblings.
A visitation for Louis will be Sunday, March 27, 2022, from 5:00 – 7:00 pm, at Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home. Funeral Services to honor his life will be held at 1:00 PM Monday, March 28, 2022 at Taylors United Methodist Church, 766 Old Jesup Road, Brunswick, GA. The burial will follow the service in the church cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers are Ryan Knight, Brayden Knight, Frankie Horton, Johnny Ward, Mason Price, Dreyton Price. The honorary pallbearer is William Price.
