Louise Hotch McDonald

Mrs. McDonald was born on July 21, 1925 in Brunswick, Georgia to her parents, Susie Newell and John Theodore Hotch. She attended Wesleyan College. In 1947, she married Ray Wood McDonald of Brunswick. They were both faithful members and elders of the First Presbyterian Church of Brunswick. Louise had a long career as a bookkeeper at Parker, Kaufmann Insurance Co.

Louise is survived by her three sons, Ray Wood McDonald, Jr. (Penelope) of Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, Robert Newell McDonald of Baxley, Georgia, and Frank Allen McDonald of Oliver, Georgia. She is also survived by six grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, one niece and seven nephews. She is preceded in death by her brothers, Douglas Hotch and John Hotch, her sisters, Theodosia Hotch and Clare Hotch King, and her husband, Ray Wood McDonald, Sr.

A memorial service will take place on Saturday, January 20 at 3:00 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Louise’s life. In lieu of flowers, please donate to Ogeechee Area Hospice or First Presbyterian Church.
