Madeline Lucille Jackson Amos

Madeline Griffis Amos, 88, of Brunswick, GA entered eternal rest, Saturday, July 18, 2015 at Southeast Georgia Health Systems. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 22, 2015,with family receiving friends from 12:30 p.m. – 2 p.m., in the Chapel of Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home, with Reverend Jim Crandall officiating the service. Interment will follow the service in Palmetto Cemetery. David Harbs, Alex Harbs, Richard Harbs, Bob Harbs, and Robert J. Harbs are serving active pallbearers.

Mrs. Amos was a life – long resident of Brunswick, GA born February 19, 1927, to the late John Henry Jackson and the late Nellie Murphy. She retired from the United States Postal Service, and was a member of the Primitive Baptist Church in Brunswick. She leaves behind many fond memories that will be cherished by all.

In addition to Mrs. Amos’s parents she is preceded in death by her husband James Monroe Griffis, her second husband Raymond Franklin Amos, Sr., a son John Michael Griffis, and her step-son Raymond Franklin Amos, Jr.,

Survivors include her daughter Melba Harbs and husband Robert G. of Triangle, VA;a son Milton Wayne Griffis and wife Fern of Cleveland, TN; five grandchildren, several great -grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
