Margaret was born April 30, 1950 the daughter of the late Margaret Swann Stephens and the late Ernest G. Stephens I. She was also preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Grady L. Lay and Sarah B. Lay; her maternal grandparents, Fannie and Buster Stephens; also an uncle, Samuel Paul Stephens.
Margaret attended Ballard Elementary School and Jane Macon Junior High school. She graduated from Glynn Academy with the class of 1969. In 1970, she married Randy Jackson and was bless with a daughter, Amy Jackson. In 1979, Margaret married Kelly Allen and was blessed with a daughter, Nikki Allen. She was employed by Georgia Pacific and the Glynn County Sheriff’s Department. She finally retired as a manager at Ole Times Country Buffett
Margaret was always involved in various activities that included the Golden Girl Lunch Club. She was also on the Planning Committee for the classes of 1968 and 1969. She loved to fish and was a member of the Troupe Creek Fishing Club.
Left to cherish Margaret’s memories are her two daughters, Amy Muggridge (Bob) and Nikki Allen; her former husband, Kelly Allen Sr; one stepson, Kelly Allen Jr; her five wonderful grandchildren, Tyler Dewolf, Chandler Muggridge, Ansley Muggridge, Maddox Baker, and Ryan Allen. Her four siblings, Katherine Davis, Ernest Stephens II, Karen Gaullien, and Glen Stephens also survive.
Margaret loved her family and friends. She will always be remembered for being full of laughter and her love for her children and grandchildren. Margaret never meet a stranger. She lived big and loved large. She loved wholeheartedly. In her final days, she told everyone how much they meant to her.

A funeral service to honor Margaret’s life will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, August 24, 2018 in the chapel of Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home. Reverend Hinton Johnson, and Reverend Tommy Whaley will officiate the service. Entombment will follow at Palmetto Cemetery, 3412 Ross Road in Brunswick, Georgia.
Active Pallbearers will be Frank Owens, Glen Fye, Stevie Stephens, Jeff Morgan, Tony Stephens, Mike Schuller, and Danny Gatewood.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Cliff Morgan, Speedy Tostensen, Pat O’Neal, Neal Jump, Carl Alexander, Wayne Bennett, Danny Harvey, the management staff of Ole Times Country Buffett, and the Glynn County Sheriff’s Department.
The family has requested that in lieu of customary remembrances, memorials be made in Margaret’s honor to the Hospice of the Golden Isles 1692 Glynco Parkway Brunswick, Georgia 31525
